Bonfire building is well underway for another spectacular evening of fireworks. This year extra buses are running so check out the new timetable.
Alien Signal Crayfish overrunning
Mole
Local angler Dave Smith
fears that Signal Crayfish are destroying the natural
habitat of the River Mole and could end fishing for many.
Despite calls to the Environment Agency little seems
to be done.
Major clearance at Balchin's
Pond
Volunteers
worked throughout Sunday 1 October to clear Balchin's
Pond of the 'alien' New Zealand Stonecrop that has
overtaken it, causing damage to native plants.
White lines (Don't Do It)
- £500 fine
In
an attempt to stop parking on the Green, Mole Valley
District Council have now painted a NO PARKING strip
along the northern edge of the Green. Offenders could
be fined up to £200.
Parish Plan first looks
Some
of the results from the Parish Plan were unveiled at
the Village Fair on 15 July. You can download the displays

The proposed Community
Church Hall requires £264,000 for redevelopment.
Although the Appeal Committee are approaching a number
of organisations
such as the National Lottery, Surrey Community Fund,
Defra, Centra and other charities the whole village

An 'Art in
the Landscape' project backfired recently when a large
majority residents in Brockham and Betchworth took offence
to the insensitive nature of the work.
Speed watch signs remind
about CSW

Speed Watch signs have been erected in Brockham to remind
drivers of Community Speed watch. Surrey Police will
be taking action against repeat offenders.
