About Lunchtime Recitals

Martin Ellis is director of music at St Martin's and founded the Lunch Hour Recitals in 1999. These recitals have become noted in the area for the high standard of music and Martin performed his 100th organ recital on February 26th 2004. Admission is FREE but there is a retiring collection for the Save St Martin's Appeal which has so far raised nearly £4,000.
About Watermill Jazz

The Watermill Jazz Club was founded in 1994 by Ann Odell and Steve Spurling and since then has gone from strength to strength meeting on Thursday evenings every month of the year except December. Admission is from 8.00 pm and the music starts at 8.30 pm.

A lively policy is pursued, with performances of the finest in Jazz from top UK and overseas bands coupled with giving an opportunity to the best of the younger bands on the scene today. The music ranges from mainstream to post bop and contemporary music and bands vary in size from trios to big bands.
