Today is
Brockham Community Church Hall Appeal

As announced at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting the Community Church Hall will be extended and altered in the summer of 2006, provided that planning permission is granted and £220,000 is raised.

Many Grant Aiding organisations, like the Lottery, Landfill Trust, Surrey Community Fund and Gatwick Airport, are being approached in order to help towards this overall target of £220,000.

As the Strood Green Post Office Appeal is required now, the Village will be asked to donate towards the Hall rebuilding later in the year.

The benefits of carrying out these alterations are:
• A better design kitchen – so necessary for Teas on the Green and various social functions

• An extra meeting room – so two functions can go on at the same time

• An extra toilet for the disabled, which will include nappy changing facilities

• A proper ramp outside for disabled access

• A safe play area for the Nursery School children

• More storage area for the many users of the Hall

Whilst these alterations are being effected, the front will also be improved in appearance, together with a new hedge. This is important as the Hall looks over the Conservation area of the village.
Our intention is that the village will make more use of the Hall for various functions, like private parties.
