Brockham Wednesday Club

THE WEDNESDAY CLUB is an organisation exclusively for the senior citizens over the age of 60 of Brockham and the surrounding district. The Club meets at the Village Hall at 2.pm. on the first Wednesday of every month excepting January. The activities vary from interesting talks on a wide variety of subjects, to slide shows of many descriptions, social afternoons with musical entertainment, quizzes, stories, readings, an occasional game of bingo, and always a raffle.

Tea, or coffee, with biscuits are served, and it's a wonderful opportunity to meet old and new friends. Coach outings are organised through the summer months to various seaside resorts, or places of particular interest, these are also open to non-members. The Club's year culminates with a Christmas Lunch in December, when cards and presents are exchanged, followed by carol singing and general entertainment for the afternoon.

The Club offers a warm welcome to `Newcomers' to visit for one month as a guest to see if it appeals to their taste! Thereafter, the membership fee is only £5 per annum, while the monthly entrance is just 50 pence.
