Common Field to be sand quarry

Devastating news for Brockham and Betchworth as the Common Field has been included in the Surrey Minerals Plan. Campaign Against Mineral Extraction and Landfill urge everyone to participate in the consultation period which will run from 28 April to 6 June 2006.


Thefts of tools on increase
There has been a dramatic increase in thefts of tools and garden equipment from garages and sheds, including theft of chainsaws, strimmers, lawnmowers, forks and pedal cycles are also a target.

Cathy to cycle Cambodia for Scope

As if Cathy Bushe's fund raising cycle ride in Brazil wasn't enough, she is now to cycle Cambodia in six gruelling days for the charity Scope. As usual the launch will be a fabulous party in May.
