Nottingham Knockers
There have been several incidences of Nottingham
Knockers in the area of Dorking and surrounding villages.
If anyone has any contact with these persons, please can
you call us on 0845 125 2222. They try and sell dusters and
household cleaning items generally but may also be linked
to burglaries in the area so your call counts.
Horse tack thefts
There have been a number
of horse tack thefts in the area and in surrey as a whole.
People with stables are advised
to be extra vigilant and to report anyone seen acting suspiciously
to us immediately.
Stolen Caravan
A caravan was stolen from
a driveway on Brockham Lane during the daytime on Wednesday
23rd September 2004. Anyone with
any information should call me on 01306 676351.
Village
parking at Schools and Old Kiln Lane
The “Way to
go” scheme
is still running and patrols will continue at schools in
the area
to ensure vehicle
users/pedestrians do not pose a threat to others during
the school run periods.
Parking on pavements has started again,
particularly along Old Kiln Lane, over the weekend. This
is an offence and action will be taken against offenders. Obstruction
or parking on the pavement is a 'found committing
offence', that is a police officer or
traffic warden needs
to see the offence being carried out before any action
can be taken. Patrols at will be made, particularly
at the weekend.
Thank you.
