Dorking Rural Neighbourhood Watch

Be careful drawing cash

Dene Street,Dorking. On Tuesday 18th January, a male was approached in Dene Street,Dorking, by 2 males in a white transit van. The two males asked if he had drawn the money out". They then said they would fix his guttering although he didn’t have a clue what these two males were talking about, but was concerned that he had been watched withdrawing money from the building society. No details of van registration were taken.

Con-men roofers

Vincent Road,Dorking. On Monday 17th January, two males in a white transit van approached a house in Vincent road, Dorking. They were enquiring about building work that needed doing to the house. They said they would repair guttering and roof tiles for £220. However, £20 was given to buy some materials. They said they would return in 2 hours, they never did. These two males are both aged between 35-40 years of age. No registration was taken from the van.

Graffiti in Brockham and Leigh

The return of vandalism and graffiti in the villages of Leigh and Brockham is once again raising the issues of anti social behaviour.

If you have any information about who commited these acts of vandalism or when these incidents took place please contact me immediately.

Domestic burglary

Unfortunately there have been a number of domestic burglaries resulting in vehicle keys being taken and then subsequently the vehicles in the household being stolen. We urge people to hide such keys to prevent vehicles being taken.
