Forum for Local Cyclists

Mole Valley will be hosting a forum for local cyclists on the 2nd Thursday of March, May and July at 7.30pm in the staff restaurant at Pippbrook.

Repairs to Juniper Walk

The contractor which repaired the footpath near Juniper Walk has returned to try to repair damage to the trees and the grass caused during the work. Mole Valley have apologised to Brockham for the damage caused.

Footpath closed

The unofficial footpath leading from the Old Coach Road, opposite the anglers pond across the golf course has been closed off. The golf club management were concerned about the dangers of people and dogs crossing a fairway which is unsighted by golfers.

Damage to island in Tynedale Road

The Parish Council are sending a letter to Arriva regarding the damage to the island in Tynedale Road caused by buses. It is possible that a different solution is needed, such as an alternative surface at the top of the island to permit the buses some leeway if there are cars obstructing their turn. It has also been noticed that some vehicles are parking on the island. Residents are reminded that this is not a permitted parking area.

Icy footbridge

It was observed that the footbridge did not get the same salting treatment as the road during the recent icy weather. A lady did fall and hurt herself and we are consulting Mole Valley to see what provisions we can make to ensure a safe crossing.

Dog fouling on the Big Field

The Big Field committee have commented on the rise of dog fouling on the Big Field. This area is regularly used for sports and recreation and would dog walkers please collect their animals small offerings.

Parking problems continue at Rugby Ground

In order to alleviate the parking problems at the Rugby Ground, the committee are looking at extending the car park to the north behind the clubhouse although this would not be tarmaced.
